Coimbatore MP Pays Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Khadi Outlet on Birth Anniversary

On October 2nd, Coimbatore officials and MP honored Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary at the Khadi outlet in Uppilipalayam. The event featured garlanding of Gandhi's statue and special programs.


Coimbatore: Special events were held today (October 2) at the Khadi outlet in Uppilipalayam, Coimbatore, to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary. The occasion saw the participation of several dignitaries who paid their respects to the Father of the Nation.



Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati attended the event and garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi as a mark of respect. Following this, Coimbatore MP Kanagaraj garlanded Gandhi's statue and paid his tributes.

The event was also graced by Additional Collector (Development) Swetha Suman and Assistant Director of Khadi Village Industries Rajeswari, who joined in paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi's statue.



The gathering of officials at the Khadi outlet underscored the enduring significance of Gandhi's principles and the continued relevance of Khadi in modern India.

The commemoration at the Khadi outlet was a fitting tribute to Gandhi, who championed the cause of Swadeshi and promoted Khadi as a symbol of self-reliance and national pride. The presence of local officials and the MP highlighted the importance given to preserving and honoring Gandhi's legacy in Coimbatore.
