Coimbatore: The National Insurance Company conducted a cleanliness drive at a Coimbatore Corporation High School on Nanjappa Road in Anupparpalayam as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The initiative, which took place on Thursday, saw active participation from the company's employees who engaged in various cleaning activities on the school premises.

The Swachh Bharat Mission, launched by the Indian government in 2014 on Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, aims to maintain cleanliness in public spaces and ensure environmental care across the nation. In line with this objective, the National Insurance Company has taken up the responsibility to contribute to the cause.

During the event, Balamuruali, the Senior Divisional Manager of National Insurance Company, planted tree saplings in the areas that were cleaned. Following this, he distributed tree saplings to the insurance agents of the company, encouraging them to participate in increasing the green cover.

This initiative by the National Insurance Company not only supports the Swachh Bharat Mission but also promotes environmental consciousness among its employees and the local community. By choosing a corporation school for their cleanliness drive, the company has set an example of corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
