Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Oppressed People's Rights Movement staged a protest in Coimbatore, condemning the attacks on Dalits, women, and children and urging the central government to take immediate action to prevent such incidents.

Demonstrators gathered in front of the BSNL office in Coimbatore to voice their concerns about the increasing violence against marginalized communities across India. The protesters demanded that the central government take stringent measures to stop these attacks and ensure the safety of vulnerable groups.

The demonstration put forth several demands, including the enactment of a separate law to prevent caste-based honor killings, abandoning the new education policy, implementing reservation in higher education institutions like IITs and IIMs, and conducting a caste-wise census. These demands were aimed at addressing the systemic issues faced by Dalits and other oppressed communities in the country.

More than 30 participants took part in the protest, raising slogans against the central government and emphasizing their demands. The demonstrators criticized the government's inaction and called for immediate steps to protect the rights and safety of Dalits, women, and children across the nation.

The protest highlighted the ongoing struggle for equality and justice for marginalized communities in India, particularly in the face of continued violence and discrimination. The Tamil Nadu Oppressed People's Rights Movement vowed to continue their fight until their demands are met and concrete actions are taken to safeguard the rights of the oppressed.
