Coimbatore: The Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) conducted special pujas at the Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple in Ukkadam, Coimbatore, to protest against the alleged contamination of Tirupati laddu with beef tallow and to preserve the sanctity of temples.

The event, led by HMK's District General Secretary Surya, saw the participation of the party's founder, Arjun Sampath, as a special invitee. The organizers distributed photographs of Tirupati Ezhumalaiyan (Lord Venkateswara) as prasadam to the devotees who attended the ceremony.

During the event, HMK leaders called for strict punishment against those responsible for allegedly adulterating the sacred Tirupati laddu with beef tallow, which they claimed was an attempt to desecrate the holiness of the temple. The party emphasized the importance of protecting the sanctity of Hindu temples and religious practices.

The special pujas and the distribution of prasadam were part of HMK's efforts to raise awareness about the issue and mobilize support for their cause. The event drew a significant number of devotees and party supporters to the Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple in Ukkadam.
