Chief Minister Stalin Welcomes Bail for Senthil Balaji

Chief Minister Stalin welcomed the Supreme Court's bail for Senthil Balaji after 471 days, accusing the Enforcement Directorate of becoming a tool to suppress political opponents.

Coimbatore: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to grant bail to Minister Senthil Balaji. He shared his thoughts on this bail, which was granted after 471 days of imprisonment.

"Our dear brother Senthil Balaji has been granted bail by the Supreme Court after 471 days," stated Chief Minister Stalin. He accused the Enforcement Directorate of being transformed into a department that suppresses political opponents, adding that in this scenario, the Supreme Court remains the only hope.

Stalin pointed out that even during the Emergency period, there wasn't such a prolonged imprisonment. He alleged that political conspiracies had continued for 15 months. "They thought they could shake brother Senthil Balaji's determination by arresting and keeping him in prison," he said.

The Chief Minister expressed his welcome to Senthil Balaji, who he believes will emerge from prison with even stronger resolve than before. "Your sacrifice is great! Your determination is even greater!" Stalin praised.

Stalin's comments highlight the political tensions surrounding Balaji's case and the role of central agencies in state politics. The Chief Minister's strong support for his cabinet colleague and criticism of the Enforcement Directorate's actions reflect the ongoing friction between the state government and central agencies.
