Sri Ramakrishna Hospital Organizes Mega Exhibition on Heart Health: Coimbatore District Collector Participates

Sri Ramakrishna Hospital launches a grand exhibition on heart health at Brookefields Mall, Coimbatore. District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati inaugurates the event, emphasizing the importance of healthy living and government initiatives.



Coimbatore: Sri Ramakrishna Hospital has inaugurated a grand exhibition on heart health at Brookefields Mall in Coimbatore today, aimed at educating the younger generation about the importance of cardiovascular wellness.





The exhibition was inaugurated and visited by Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati in the presence of Ramkumar, CEO of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, Dr. Rajagopalan, Medical Director of Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, and Dr. Alagappan, Medical Superintendent.



Speaking to reporters during the event, the District Collector emphasized the importance of proper diet and exercise for a disease-free life. He mentioned that the government is conducting various programs to create awareness about millets. He also added that Anganwadi centers are setting up stalls at government events to raise awareness about the necessities for a healthy life.



The exhibition features a model of heart anatomy to demonstrate cardiac function and the importance of heart health to visitors. It also clearly explains how stents are fitted in the heart and how blockages are treated. A display on pacemakers is included, detailing how these life-saving devices are implanted and function to regulate irregular heartbeats.

Furthermore, the exhibition showcases information on pediatric cardiology, special cardiac surgeries, and new advancements in electrophysiology and laser coronary angioplasty through videos.



A live demonstration of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is being conducted for the public. Additionally, nutritionists from the hospital are providing key tips on heart-healthy foods and lifestyles to prevent cardiac diseases.



The organizers announced that the exhibition will continue until September 22, providing an opportunity for the public to learn about heart health and advanced cardiac treatments.
