Devotees Prohibited from Accessing Marudhamalai Temple in Coimbatore by Car on Sept 14-15

Marudhamalai Temple administration announces restriction on car access for devotees on September 14-15. Alternative transportation options provided for worshippers to reach the hilltop shrine.

Coimbatore: The administration of the Marudhamalai Subramaniyaswami Hill Temple in Coimbatore has announced today (Sept. 13) that devotees will not be permitted to access the temple by car on September 14 and 15.

The temple authorities have made alternative arrangements for devotees to reach the hilltop shrine. Worshippers can use motorcycles, climb the steps on foot, or utilize the temple-provided bus service to reach the temple during these two days.

The administration has emphasized that devotees can avail themselves of the special bus service arranged by the temple to have darshan of the deity. This measure has been implemented to manage the expected influx of devotees during this period.

The Marudhamalai Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan, is a popular pilgrimage site located on a hill in the Western Ghats, about 15 kilometers from Coimbatore city. The temple attracts thousands of devotees, especially during festive seasons and auspicious days.

This temporary restriction on car access is likely aimed at ensuring smooth crowd management and better organization of devotee movement during what is expected to be a busy period at the temple. Devotees planning to visit the Marudhamalai Temple on September 14 and 15 are advised to plan their journey accordingly, keeping in mind the available transportation options.
