Government Residential School Near Udumalpet Receives Equipment, Welfare Assistance Provided to Tribal Communities

A government residential school for tribal students near Udumalpet received equipment, while welfare assistance was distributed to tribal communities in nearby settlements on Monday.


Coimbatore: The Government Tribal Residential School in Lingamavoor, under the Jallipatti Panchayat near Udumalpet, received a significant boost as private organizations came forward to provide equipment and welfare assistance to the tribal communities in the area.

The event, presided over by the school's headmaster Ayyappan, saw the distribution of various items to the school and the local tribal population. The school received essential equipment to enhance the learning environment for its students.



Following the school event, the organizers visited tribal settlements in Eesal Thattu, Gurumalai, and Karattupathi to distribute welfare items. The residents of these communities were provided with groceries, sanitary products for women, and clothing. Additionally, educational materials and supplies were given to students to support their studies.



The distribution program saw active participation from members of the school management committee, representatives of private organizations, and the tribal communities. This initiative aims to improve the living conditions and educational opportunities for the tribal population in the region, addressing their basic needs and supporting their overall development.

The event highlights the collaborative efforts between government institutions and private organizations in supporting the welfare of tribal communities and promoting education among their children.
