Minister Saminathan Inaugurates Mobile Veterinary Units in Tirupur

Minister Saminathan launched 7 mobile veterinary units in Tirupur to provide medical care for livestock in remote villages. He also addressed concerns about the film industry and industrial growth in Tamil Nadu.

Tirupur: Minister for Information and Publicity, Saminathan, inaugurated seven mobile veterinary units in Tirupur district on Thursday. The event took place at the District Collector's office complex, aimed at providing medical care for livestock in remote villages.

District Collector Christuraj presided over the function, with Mayor Dinesh Kumar as the guest of honor.

The mobile veterinary units, part of a larger initiative by the Tamil Nadu government, are designed to improve rural economy and enhance the quality of life for villagers by ensuring proper care for their livestock.

Speaking to reporters after the inauguration, Minister Saminathan said, "The Tamil Nadu government is implementing various schemes to maintain livestock well, provide quality medical treatment, and bring about a second white revolution. As a continuation of this effort, 245 mobile veterinary vehicles were recently launched by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to treat animals in remote villages where medical care is difficult to access. Accordingly, 7 mobile veterinary ambulances have been provided to Tiruppur district today."

Each mobile veterinary unit will be staffed with a veterinarian, a veterinary assistant, and a driver. These vehicles will operate from 8 AM to 2 PM, visiting assigned villages to provide veterinary medical services and artificial insemination.

Addressing concerns about the film industry, Minister Saminathan stated that unlike Kerala, no sexual harassment complaints have been received from the Tamil film industry so far. He assured that if any such complaints arise, appropriate legal action would be taken.

Responding to comments made by former AIADMK minister Udayakumar about internal conflicts within the DMK, Saminathan dismissed them as baseless. He emphasized that the DMK remains united and disciplined under its leadership.

The minister also highlighted Tamil Nadu's industrial growth, stating that no industries have left the state. Instead, he noted that Tamil Nadu is attracting investments not only from other states but also from foreign countries, crediting the state government's special schemes for this positive trend.
