Self-Financing Colleges Association Donates ₹5.5 Lakh for Tamil Puthalvan Scheme Launch in Coimbatore

The Association of Self-Financing Arts, Science and Management Colleges of Tamil Nadu donated ₹5.5 lakh for breakfast expenses of students attending the Tamil Puthalvan scheme launch in Coimbatore on August 9, 2024.


Coimbatore: The Association of Self-Financing Arts, Science and Management Colleges of Tamil Nadu has made a generous contribution towards the launch of the Tamil Puthalvan scheme. The association donated a cheque for ₹5,50,000 to Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS, to cover breakfast expenses for students attending the scheme's inaugural event.

The Tamil Puthalvan scheme, set to be launched by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Dr. M.K. Stalin on August 9, 2024, at the Government Arts College in Coimbatore, aims to benefit students across the state. The donation from the association demonstrates the collective support of self-financing colleges for this educational initiative.

Key representatives present during the cheque handover included Dr. N. Yasodha Devi, Executive Committee Member of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women; A.M. Khaleel, Patron of Texcity Arts and Science College; Professor Dr. Ajeet Kumar Lal Mohan, President of the Association; and T. Sethupathi, Secretary of the Association. The gesture highlights the commitment of private educational institutions to support government initiatives aimed at student welfare.
