Coimbatore: Actor Prashanth, along with co-stars Simran and Priya Anand, met with journalists at a private hotel in the Race Course area of Coimbatore to promote their upcoming film 'Andagan', scheduled for release on August 9.

The actor clarified that 'Andagan' is not a remake but a "remade" film. He announced that the movie would initially release in about 400 theaters, with the possibility of expanding to more screens later.

When questioned about the recent fine he received for not wearing a helmet, Prashanth explained that he had been conducting awareness programs about helmet usage for the past year. He noted that the incident of him being fined had gone viral, further highlighting the importance of wearing helmets.
