Coimbatore: On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, DMK District Secretary N. Karthik, ex-MLA, distributed party membership cards to new members who had completed the application process. The event took place in the presence of V.M. Shanmugasundaram, DMK Secretary of Vadavalli area.
The distribution ceremony was held for wards 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40, with ward secretaries Viswanathan, K. Veluchamy, Deivam Mahalakshmi, Balakrishnan, and Kathiresan in attendance. The event was part of the celebrations marking the birth centenary of DMK founder Kalaignar Karunanidhi and the party's diamond jubilee year.
Several prominent DMK officials and members participated in the event, including General Committee member Saraswathi Pushparaj, Corporation West Zone Chairman Deivayani Tamilmarai, and various wing organizers.
Notable attendees included V. Mani, organizer of the Weavers' Wing, Rajkumar, organizer of the Literary Wing, and Murasoli Venkadagiri. Marudamalai Maheshkumar, a member of the trustee committee of Arulmigu Marudamalai Subramaniya Swami Temple, and Chinnatangam were also present. The event saw participation from local party executives, volunteers, active members, and BLA-2 booth committee members.
