DMK District Secretary Receives Petition for Housing in Ukkadam, Coimbatore

DMK Coimbatore Urban District Secretary N. Karthik, Ex-MLA, received a petition from Ukkadam residents on July 23, requesting new housing and temporary accommodations for Lake View apartment residents.


Coimbatore: On July 23, a group of residents from Ukkadam met with N. Karthik, Ex-MLA and DMK Coimbatore Urban District Secretary, at the Anna Nagar office in Peelamedu to submit a petition regarding housing concerns.

The delegation included Oor Pattakkarar Ayyasamy, 81st Ward Secretary Town P. Anandan, Chandran, Paneer (alias) Murugesan, Auto Senthil, Vanavan Manikandan, and Ukkadam Parthiban. They presented their requests to the DMK District Secretary, focusing on two main issues.

The primary concern raised in the petition was the construction of new residential buildings in the Ukkadam area. Additionally, the group sought temporary housing arrangements for the residents of the Ukkadam Lake View apartment complex.

The meeting highlighted the ongoing housing challenges faced by the Ukkadam community and their appeal for government intervention to address these issues. The DMK District Secretary's response to the petition and any potential actions to be taken remain to be seen.
