No Two or Four-Wheeler Access to Maruthamalai Temple During Aadi Kiruthigai Festival in Coimbatore

Maruthamalai Temple in Coimbatore restricts two and four-wheeler access during Aadi Kiruthigai festival from July 28 to 30. Devotees can use temple buses or climb stairs for darshan.

Coimbatore: The Maruthamalai Subramaniya Swami Temple in Coimbatore has announced restrictions on vehicle access during the upcoming Aadi Kiruthigai festival, scheduled from July 28 to 30. The temple administration has prohibited the entry of two-wheelers and four-wheelers to the hilltop shrine during this period.

In addition to the vehicle restrictions, devotees will not be allowed to use the hill path as a walking route to reach the temple. Instead, pilgrims can access the temple either by climbing the steps or by using the buses arranged by the temple authorities.

The temple's Executive Officer, Senthilkumar, issued a statement on July 22 detailing the arrangements made for the festival. He mentioned that the Board of Trustees has organized special bus services to facilitate the devotees' journey to the hilltop temple for darshan.

These measures have been implemented to manage the expected surge in devotee footfall during the Aadi Kiruthigai festival and to ensure smooth and safe darshan for all visitors. The temple administration urges devotees to cooperate with these temporary restrictions and make use of the provided facilities to offer their prayers during this auspicious occasion.
