Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj Inaugurates New Buildings in Dharapuram

Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj inaugurated a grain warehouse and a community welfare center in Dharapuram, Tirupur district. The projects, worth Rs. 1.05 crore, aim to boost rural development and local governance.


Tirupur: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Kayalvizhi Selvaraj, inaugurated two new buildings in the Kundadam Panchayat Union area near Dharapuram, Tirupur district. The facilities, constructed under the Rural Development and Local Administration Department, are set to enhance rural infrastructure and community services.

In Kungumampalayam village, the Minister inaugurated a newly constructed grain warehouse valued at Rs. 20 lakhs. This facility is expected to significantly improve grain storage capabilities in the area, benefiting local farmers and the agricultural economy.

Additionally, Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj inaugurated a community welfare center in Puthu Aiyappanayakkanpalayam. Built at a cost of Rs. 85 lakhs under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), this center aims to serve as a hub for community activities and welfare programs.

The inauguration ceremony saw the attendance of several local officials and dignitaries. Among those present were Kundadam Union Secretary Chandrasekar, Union Youth Wing Organizer Rana Padmanaban, Tahsildar Govindasamy, and Nandavanampalayam Panchayat President Thanalakshmi Nachimuthu. Other attendees included Velayuthampalayam Panchayat President Mahendran, Union Councillor Balu, along with party executives, department officials, people's representatives, and members of the public.
