Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS conducted an on-site inspection of the Coimbatore-Trichy Road in Singanallur area on July 22, 2024. The visit was prompted by the accumulation of soil along the roadside following various infrastructure projects.

During the inspection, it was observed that pipelines had been laid for drinking water projects, underground sewerage schemes, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) works in the Coimbatore Singanallur area. Furthermore, the Commissioner instructed the officials to complete the ongoing project works quickly and with high quality. He stressed the importance of minimizing inconvenience to the public while carrying out essential infrastructure improvements.

The inspection team accompanying the Commissioner included Chief Engineer Anbazhagan, Assistant Commissioner (East) Muthusamy, Ward Member Siva, Assistant Town Planner Bhuvaneswari, and other relevant Corporation officials. Their presence ensured a comprehensive assessment of the situation and facilitated immediate decision-making for necessary actions.

This proactive step by the Corporation Commissioner aims to address the concerns of local residents and commuters who have been facing difficulties due to the road conditions.
