BJP State President Annamalai attended a triple celebration of the Tamil Nadu Higher Goods Owners Association in Coimbatore, promising to address their demands and emphasizing the importance of fighting corruption.

Coimbatore: BJP State President Annamalai has stated that the party is making full efforts to ensure that political cleanliness should start from the BJP. He made these remarks while attending a triple celebration event of the Tamil Nadu Higher Goods Owners Association in Thudiyalur, Coimbatore, as a special guest.

During the event, the association presented a petition to Annamalai, putting forward various demands to the central government. Addressing the gathering, Annamalai assured that the demands made by the Higher Goods Owners Association were not impossible to fulfill. He specifically mentioned the request to reduce their GST from 18% to 12%, stating that it was an acceptable demand and promised to submit it in writing to the Finance Minister.

Annamalai emphasized that political cleanliness should start from the BJP and that the party is making full efforts towards this goal. He also promised to take action to ensure that all benefits available to unorganized workers under the central government would be extended to Higher Goods workers as well.

The BJP leader urged the public to set high expectations for political representatives, including himself, stating that this would bring about change in Tamil Nadu. He added that only when politicians are constantly working to meet these expectations will society transform.

Annamalai strongly advocated against giving bribes in any situation and stressed that if the youth do not oppose bribery, it would be impossible to drive out the evil of corruption from the country. He also highlighted the importance of individual effort by citing examples of Mahatma Gandhi and Kamarajar, who achieved significant results as single individuals. Annamalai concluded by reiterating the need to completely avoid bribery and stand against it if such issues arise.
