Spiritual Journey Inauguration at Coimbatore Thandumariamman Temple

Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister P.K. Sekar Babu launched the government-funded spiritual journey program for underprivileged devotees at Coimbatore's Thandumariamman Temple on July 19.


Coimbatore: The Amman Temples Spiritual Journey-2024, a government-funded program for underprivileged devotees, was inaugurated at the Sri Thandu Mariamman Temple in Coimbatore on July 19.

The initiative, launched under the directives of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister P.K. Sekar Babu, was officially commenced by Siravai Adheenam Kumaraguruparar Adigalar, who also offered his blessings.



The inaugural ceremony saw the participation of prominent figures including Coimbatore MP Ganapathi Rajkumar and Coimbatore Urban District DMK Secretary N. Karthik. The event underscores the government's commitment to facilitating spiritual experiences for economically disadvantaged devotees across the state.

Notable attendees at the function included Ramesh, Joint Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department for Coimbatore District; Metal Rajamani, Chairman of the Hindu Religious Endowments Committee; Nagalakshmi Subramanian, Chairperson of the Sri Thandu Mariamman Temple Trust Board; and trust board members Sri Vatsan, Bathrusamy, Manoj Kumar, and Kalaimani. Representatives from the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, including Ramkumar, Saranya, and Shalini, were also present, along with a large gathering of devotees.
