On July 16, Ward 1 of Coimbatore saw multiple development activities including water supply restoration, mosquito fogging, and drainage cleaning under the guidance of Ward Councillor Karpagam Rajasekaran.

Coimbatore: Ward 1 of Coimbatore Corporation witnessed a series of development activities on July 16, under the directives of Ward Councillor Karpagam Rajasekaran. The works primarily focused on improving water supply, sanitation, and overall hygiene in various localities within the ward.

In Viswanathapuram and VPV Nagar areas, a major repair work was undertaken on the main water supply pipeline's gate valve. The faulty valve, which had been affecting water distribution in these areas, was successfully fixed, and water supply was restored.

Mosquito fogging operations were carried out in Jothi Nagar area as part of the ward's vector control measures. This initiative aims to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases and ensure public health.

In Jallikadu, Mariamman Kovil West Street, and Rukmammal Colony, cleaning operations were conducted. These included the clearing of rainwater drains and removal of thorny bushes, enhancing the areas' cleanliness and preventing waterlogging issues during the rainy season.

It is noteworthy that sanitation works were carried out throughout the entire ward, emphasizing the local administration's commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas under its jurisdiction.

These development activities reflect the ongoing efforts of the Coimbatore Corporation to improve the living conditions and infrastructure in Ward 1, addressing key issues such as water supply, vector control, and drainage management.
