'Siruthuli' Announces Awards for Best Home Gardens - Invites Applications

Siruthuli, in collaboration with Dharmic Gardens and Dinamalar, launches 'Best Home Garden Award-2024' competition in Coimbatore and Mettupalayam to promote urban greenery and horticulture.

Coimbatore: The environmental organization 'Siruthuli', known for its continuous efforts in restoring water bodies including the Noyyal river, has expanded its focus to increase urban greenery through tree planting and dense forest creation. As part of this initiative, Siruthuli has announced the 'Best Home Garden Award-2024' competition for residents of Coimbatore and Mettupalayam.

The competition is being organized in partnership with Dharmic Gardens, a company promoting horticulture development and urban greenery, and the daily newspaper 'Dinamalar'. This contest aims to encourage the creation of home gardens and terrace gardens, aligning with Siruthuli's 'Terrace Forest' project in Coimbatore, which seeks to enhance urban greenery and promote healthy food production.

Dharmic Gardens is assisting in teaching methods to produce organic fruits and vegetables at home without pesticides or other chemicals. The company also provides seeds, saplings, and guidance on plant care to improve gardens. The 'Terrace Forest' project's goal is to improve the urban environment by growing plants and trees on rooftops and terraces.

For the 'Best Home Garden Award-2024', ten awards will be given in Coimbatore and five in Mettupalayam, including top prizes and consolation awards. Interested participants can submit their applications via email to [email protected] or register at Dharmic Gardens (P) Limited, located at 26/E on Trichy Road, Kannampalaiyam.
