Direct Admissions Open for Government ITIs in Coimbatore District Until July 31, 2024

Coimbatore District Collector announces direct admissions for Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) for the 2024 academic year, offering various courses with free training and benefits.


Coimbatore: District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced that direct admissions for Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Coimbatore district for the academic year 2024 will be open until July 31, 2024. The admissions are for the Government ITI located on Mettupalayam Road, Coimbatore.

The Coimbatore Government ITI offers various trade courses with durations of six months, one year, and two years. These include FITTER, TURNER, TURNER (DST), MACHINIST, MACHINIST (DST), COPA, ICTSM, INSTRUMENT MECHANIC, MMTM, PPO, TECHNICIAN MECHATRONICS, FOOD PRODUCTION, INTERIOR DESIGN AND DECORATION, EM, and REMOTELY PILOTED AIRCRAFT (DRONE PILOT).

Additionally, under the TATA INDUSTRY 4.0 program, new trade courses are being introduced. These include ADVANCED CNC MACHINING TECHNICIAN, INDUSTRIAL ROBOTICS & DIGITAL MANUFACTURING, BASIC DESIGNER & VIRTUAL VERIFIER, and MANUFACTURING PROCESS CONTROL AUTOMATION, with one-year and two-year durations.

The admissions will be on a first-come, first-served basis until all vacancies are filled. Applicants are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity promptly.

The training is entirely free of charge. All trainees will receive free laptops, bicycles, bus passes, uniforms, shoes, drawing instruments, and NIMI books from the government. A monthly stipend of Rs. 750/- will be provided based on attendance.

Educational qualifications for admission vary depending on the trade, ranging from 8th to 10th standard pass. Hostel facilities with food are available for BC/MBC/SC/ST trainees, subject to eligibility. The age limit is 14 to 40 years, with no upper age limit for women.

The Collector also mentioned that all trainees who complete their courses at this ITI will be provided job opportunities in the private sector through campus interviews.
