Fatal Car Accident Near Pappini: Youth Dies as Vehicle Overturns

A 23-year-old youth died in a tragic car accident near Pappini on the Kangeyam-Muthur road in Tiruppur district. The vehicle lost control, hit a tree, and overturned, leading to the driver's death en route to the hospital.


Coimbatore: A fatal car accident occurred near Pappini on the Kangeyam-Muthur road in Tiruppur district, claiming the life of a young man. The incident took place late at night when the car lost control, collided with a tree, and overturned.

The deceased has been identified as Jegan Pragadish @ Jegan (23), son of Muthusamy from Muthur near Kangeyam. Jegan, who had recently completed his college education, was managing his father's rice mill business. On the fateful night, he was traveling from Muthur to Kangeyam via Pappini.



As Jegan approached a curve near Pappini, he allegedly lost control of the vehicle while attempting to navigate the turn. The car veered off the road, crashed into a tree, and overturned. Local residents who witnessed the accident immediately rushed to the scene and extracted Jegan from the wreckage. He was then transported to the Kangeyam Government General Hospital via ambulance.

Tragically, doctors at the hospital declared that Jegan had succumbed to his injuries en route. The Kangeyam Police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations into the accident.

The untimely demise of Jegan has left his family devastated, as he was the only son. Adding to the tragedy, it has been revealed that Jegan was the nephew of Tamil Development and Information Minister M.P. Saminathan, being the son of the minister's elder brother.
