Minister Saminathan Inaugurates Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme Near Udumalpet

Tamil Nadu's Information Minister M.P. Saminathan launched the Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme at a government-aided school near Udumalpet, Tiruppur district. The event saw participation from district officials and public.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu's Minister for Information and Tamil Development, M.P. Saminathan, inaugurated the Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme for rural areas at the government-aided RVG Primary School in Kurichikottai Panchayat near Udumalpet, Tiruppur district, on Thursday.

The minister kick-started the program by distributing Pongal and Santhagai sweets to the school children. The event marked the extension of the breakfast scheme to rural areas, aiming to provide nutritious morning meals to primary school students.



Tiruppur District Collector Christuraj, Udumalpet Revenue Divisional Officer Jaswant Kannan, Tahsildar Sundaram, DMK functionaries, and members of the public attended the inauguration ceremony. The scheme, initiated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, is expected to benefit numerous school children in rural areas, ensuring they start their day with a healthy meal.

The implementation of this scheme in rural areas demonstrates the government's commitment to improving child nutrition and educational outcomes across the state. It is anticipated that this initiative will contribute to increased school attendance and better learning experiences for primary school students in Tamil Nadu's rural regions.
