Coimbatore: A tragic incident unfolded in Vellalore, Coimbatore, as a 50-year-old man named Sekhar was killed in a drunken brawl at a TASMAC (Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation) shop. The victim, a resident of Idayarpalayam area, had gone to visit a relative in Vellalore when the unfortunate event occurred.

According to reports, Sekhar visited the local TASMAC shop to consume alcohol. While there, he got into an argument with other patrons sitting at a nearby table. The verbal altercation quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, prompting the shop employees to intervene and evict those involved.

Outside the shop, the situation took a turn for the worse. Sekhar was allegedly attacked and pushed to the ground by his assailants, who then fled the scene. It had been drizzling in the area, and Sekhar remained motionless on the ground for an extended period.
