The demonstration, which took place near Valliammai Bakery in Ukkadam, was led by Imayam Rahmatullah, the State Secretary of the Congress Human Rights Wing. The protest was a response to Annamalai's recent controversial statements about the TNCC President, which have sparked outrage among Congress party members across the state.

Congress Corporation Councilors Sankar and Saravanakumar were present at the forefront of the protest. Over a hundred party members and supporters participated in the demonstration, raising slogans against Annamalai and the BJP.

The protest saw participation from various Congress party functionaries and affiliated organizations. Notable attendees included Sikandar, Kottai Ismail, Meen Abu, Kani, Abdul Rahman, Vishnu, Faisal, Kaja, Oil Riyas, Aniba, Nasser, Aris, Maideen, and Usain.
