Special Sub-Inspector Accorded State Honors at Madathukulam

A 54-year-old Special Sub-Inspector from Madathukulam, Tiruppur district, was given state honors with a 30-gun salute following his untimely demise. The police force paid their final respects in a solemn ceremony.


Coimbatore: Selvam (54), a Special Sub-Inspector from Madathukulam in Tiruppur district, was accorded state honors following his unexpected demise. The Tamil Nadu Police Department paid their final respects to their fallen colleague with a 30-gun salute in a somber ceremony.

Selvam, who had been serving as a Special Sub-Inspector in the Tamil Nadu Police, was admitted to the hospital two days ago due to sudden illness. Despite medical efforts, he tragically passed away. His body was brought back to his hometown of Madathukulam on the night following his death.



In accordance with government orders, Selvam's body was given state honors, which included a 30-gun salute. DSP Sugumaran, along with Inspectors Balamurugan and Nirmala Devi, participated in the ceremony, laying floral wreaths and paying their final respects to their departed colleague.

The solemn event was attended by numerous police personnel, relatives of the deceased, and members of the public, all gathering to pay their last respects to the dedicated officer who had served the force with distinction.
