Councillor Joins Sanitation Workers in Cleaning Raja Vaikkal

In Coimbatore's 86th ward, Councillor Ahmed Kabir of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi actively participated in cleaning the Raja Vaikkal alongside corporation employees, setting an example for public service and cleanliness.

Coimbatore: In a commendable display of public service, Councillor Ahmed Kabir of the 86th ward in Coimbatore Corporation was seen actively participating in the cleaning of Raja Vaikkal alongside municipal sanitation workers. A video of this event has been circulating on WhatsApp, garnering attention and praise from citizens.

The Raja Vaikkal, located in the Ukkadam Kuzhandhai Goundar Street area, has been consistently plagued by excessive garbage accumulation, leading to overflowing sewage. This situation has been particularly problematic for residents during the rainy season. Recognizing the urgency of the matter, sanitation workers have been intensively engaged in cleaning efforts.

Councillor Ahmed Kabir, representing the Manithaneya Makkal Katchi, took the initiative to join the sanitation workers in their efforts. He actively participated in cleaning the waterway, setting an example for community involvement in maintaining public hygiene.

During the cleaning drive, Kabir emphasized the importance of public safety during the monsoon season. He urged residents to dispose of garbage responsibly in designated bins rather than dumping it in the Raja Vaikkal. This action, he stated, would significantly contribute to preventing waterlogging and associated health hazards.

The video of the councillor's hands-on involvement has been widely shared on social media platforms, drawing appreciation from various quarters. Many view this as a positive step towards encouraging civic responsibility and bridging the gap between elected representatives and the public.
