The 22nd Agri Intex 2024, a 5-day international agricultural expo, will commence on January 11th at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore, featuring over 400 stalls and aiming for Rs 150 crore revenue.

Coimbatore: The 22nd edition of the international agricultural exhibition "Agri Intex 2024" is set to begin on January 11th at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore. The five-day event, extended from its usual four-day format, aims to generate revenue of Rs 150 crore and will feature more than 400 stalls.

During a press conference held at the CODISSIA complex, officials announced that the exhibition would run until January 15th. The decision to extend the duration to five days was made in response to feedback from previous attendees who felt four days were insufficient.

The expo will showcase 498 stalls, with participation from various countries including Malaysia, Singapore, China, and South Korea. A special agricultural delegation from Japan is also expected to attend, sharing their technological advancements in the field.

Agri Intex 2024 will focus on providing farmers with insights on marketing their produce profitably and offering advice on various agricultural practices. A dedicated section for livestock has been arranged within the exhibition area. The event will also highlight technologies for water-efficient farming and agriculture without extensive water use.

The Tamil Nadu government, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, various Indian states' agricultural departments, and the central government will collaboratively participate in the exhibition. They will present comprehensive explanations and demonstrations of agricultural technologies and practices.

Organizers anticipate more than 150,000 visitors to attend the exhibition over its five-day run. The event promises to be a significant platform for farmers, agricultural experts, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge and explore the latest innovations in agriculture.
