Commissioner Inspects Tar Road Construction in Ward 52 of Coimbatore

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS inspected the tar road construction work in Ward 52, Anna Nagar, Peelamedu on July 4, 2024. The project, costing Rs 1.35 crore, covers 3.4 km under TURIP scheme.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS conducted an on-site inspection of the tar road construction work in Ward 52 of the East Zone on July 4, 2024. The project, undertaken in Anna Nagar, Peelamedu, is part of the Tamil Nadu Urban Roads Infrastructure Project (TURIP) for 2024-25.

The road construction work spans 3.4 kilometers and is estimated to cost Rs 1.35 crore. During his visit, Commissioner Prabhakaran reviewed the progress of the work and issued instructions to expedite the completion of the project.

Accompanying the Commissioner were East Zone Chairperson Mrs. Ilakumi Ilanchelvi Karthik, Assistant Executive Engineer Mr. Rajesh Kanna, Assistant Engineer Ms. Jagadeeswari, and other Corporation officials. The inspection aimed to ensure the quality and timely execution of the road construction work, which is expected to significantly improve the infrastructure in the area.

This project is part of the Corporation's ongoing efforts to enhance the city's road network and provide better connectivity for residents. The new tar road is anticipated to ease traffic flow and improve overall transportation in Ward 52, benefiting the local community in Anna Nagar and surrounding areas of Peelamedu.
