Coimbatore: In a startling incident that occurred last night on July 2, the usually peaceful Balaji Nagar near the foothills of Marudhamalai witnessed a wild elephant breaking into a residential area. The elephant managed to smash through the house gate, gaining entry into the compound. The entire episode was caught on a resident’s CCTV cameras and the footage quickly spread across social media platforms, becoming a viral sensation overnight.

Local residents expressed both amazement and concern as the video showed the giant mammal roaming within the compound before eventually leaving the area.
