Coimbatore: In a significant crackdown on illegal narcotics sales, Coimbatore Police have detained two individuals from Odisha, Abishek Dora, 30, and Abishith Dora, 27, for selling ganja-infused chocolates. The duo was apprehended by the Prohibition Enforcement Wing of the Periyanaickenpalayam area a few days ago with around 9 kilograms of the illicit substance.

Following their arrest, the Coimbatore District Police Superintendent, Badrinarayanan, recommended stringent actions against them under the Goondas Act, marking their activities as a threat to public health and order.
