GKNM Hospital Celebrates 72nd Founders Day with Grandeur in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: GKNM Hospital, a leading healthcare institution in Coimbatore, celebrated its 72nd Founders Day with a special ceremony on June 29, 2024. The event took place at the Nani Palkhivala Auditorium, Mani Higher Secondary School, paying tribute to the hospital's visionary founders and their commitment to healthcare excellence. Since its inception in 1952 as a modest 50-bed mother and child hospital, GKNM has evolved into a 650-bed super specialty facility, recently expanding with a New Integrated Outpatient Center. This addition spans 3.3 lakh square feet, features 30 specialties, and houses 200 medical professionals, making it a pioneering establishment in the nation.




Established to deliver top-tier patient care, GKNM Hospital is equipped with advanced medical technologies including the Da Vinci robotic system for robot-assisted surgeries. Its wide array of medical services ranges from primary care to complex tertiary healthcare, handled by a highly skilled team dedicated to a patient-centric approach. The hospital also extends its outreach with home health services and rural health services at Veerapandi.



The festive occasion was marked by the presence of distinguished guests including Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy, CEO, and leaders from The Kuppuswamy Naidu Charity Trust for Education and Medical Relief. The event included the conferment of Distinguished Service Awards, Performance Excellence Awards, and Meritorious Service Awards to honor the selfless service of GKNM's medical staff.
