Special Teams Formed to Search for Absconding Former AIADMK Minister M.R.Vijayabaskar

Five special teams were formed by the CBCID to locate former AIADMK minister M.R.Vijayabaskar, who is absconding following his anticipatory bail rejection in a land grab case involving fake documents for a 22-acre land worth Rs.100 crores in Karur.



Coimbatore: In a significant move to crack down on corruption, the Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CBCID) of Tamil Nadu has set up five special teams to search for the absconding former AIADMK minister M.R.Vijayabaskar. This action follows the dismissal of his anticipatory bail plea in a case involving the fraudulent acquisition of a 22-acre property in Karur, valued at Rs.100 crores, using forged documents.

With the stakes high and the former minister eluding capture, CBCID has distributed its resources efficiently, stationing two special teams within Tamil Nadu and deploying three others to various other states, ensuring a comprehensive search. The authorities are on high alert, determined to bring M.R.Vijayabaskar to justice and unravel the intricacies of the land grab scandal.
