Over 200 Elders, Disabled, and Orphanage Children Explore Coimbatore Exhibition

In Coimbatore, over 200 individuals including elderly, disabled, and children from orphanages were invited to explore a government exhibition at VOC Grounds for free, enjoying various booths and entertainment zones.

Coimbatore: In an inclusive event at the Coimbatore VOC Grounds, over 200 elderly, differently-abled individuals, and children from various orphanages were treated to a day of joy and entertainment at a government-organized exhibition. The initiative, under the guidance of volunteers, allowed these special guests free entry to experience the displays set by 27 government departments and 7 government-affiliated corporations across 34 booths.

The organizers made sure that the attendees had an enriching experience without any charge, providing them access to fun rides like the Ferris wheel and giant wheels. After exploring the educational and engaging booths, the guests indulged in some playful time at 'Snow World', enjoying simulated snowfalls that were both fun and refreshing.

This year marks the fourth consecutive year where local business holders, stall owners, and food court managers collaborated to extend hospitality by offering free snacks and dinner to the participants, adding more warmth to the event.

Coordinator Rafiq explained that these arrangements were specifically made to bring joy into the lives of those who might lack such opportunities, emphasizing the community's commitment to creating inclusive and happy experiences for everyone. "It's all about making them feel valued and included," Rafiq shared.

This initiative not only provided fun and entertainment but also a day of respite and joy for those who are often marginalized, helping them create joyful memories in a supportive environment.
