Truck Driver Arrested for Selling High-Grade Narcotics in Coimbatore

In Coimbatore's South Ukkadam Anbu Nagar, a truck driver was arrested for selling high-grade narcotics based on a tip-off received by Kadai Street police on June 24.


Coimbatore: A truck driver has been arrested in Coimbature's South Ukkadam Anbu Nagar on charges of selling high-grade narcotics. The Kadai Street police acted on confidential information that pointed towards ongoing narcotics sales in the area. During their investigation on June 24, they detained a young man under suspicion. Further interrogation revealed his involvement in drug trafficking. Following this, the police arrested Abdul Jaleel, a 36-year-old truck driver from South Ukkadam, and confiscated 2.250 kilograms of high-grade narcotics along with a cellphone from him.
