Yoga Day Celebrated at Coimbatore City Armed Reserve Grounds

In light of World Yoga Day, a special yoga session was conducted at Coimbatore City Armed Reserve Grounds on June 21, under the leadership of Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan.


Coimbatore: Marking the celebration of World Yoga Day, the Coimbatore City Armed Reserve Grounds hosted a significant event led by the Coimbatore City Police. On this occasion, which took place today, June 21, the grounds filled with over 300 policing personnel including officers, inspectors, and constables who participated enthusiastically in a yoga session.



The session, guided by experienced yoga instructors, provided an hour of various practices such as hand exercises, breathing techniques, eye exercises, Surya Namaskars, different asanas, and mudras.



The initiative aimed to promote wellness and health among the law enforcement staff, highlighting the importance of yoga in maintaining physical and mental balance in their demanding roles.

Commissioner Balakrishnan emphasized the benefits of yoga for the police force, especially concerning stress reduction and enhancement of concentration and overall health.
