Coimbatore: Recently, Erisanampatti village near Udumalai in Tirupur District witnessed an awareness event focusing on the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, aimed at educating local farmers about the scheme's benefits. The programme was organized by Madras Fertilizers Limited.
During the event, the Assistant Manager from Coimbatore region of Madras Fertilizers Limited, Angaiya, delivered a keynote addressing the scheme's recent disbursement of ₹20,000 crore to 9.26 million farmers under the 17th installment. Annually, farmers are provided with ₹6,000, disbursed in three installments of ₹2,000 every four months.
Over 100 farmers attended the seminar, expressing their interest to enroll and discussing their queries about the scheme, which highlights its impact and relevance.
