Vanathi Srinivasan Accuses TN Elections of Being Manipulated During Coimbatore Press Meet

Vanathi Srinivasan, the National President of BJP's Women's Wing, during a press meet in Coimbatore, remarked on the alleged misuse of power and financial influence in Tamil Nadu's by-elections, expressing confidence in the democratic alliance.

Coimbatore: Arriving from Delhi, Vanathi Srinivasan, the National President of the BJP's Women's Wing, voiced her concerns at the Coimbatore Airport on June 16. She spoke vehemently about the chaotic state of by-elections in Tamil Nadu, outlining how power and financial muscle are allegedly exploited to manipulate electoral outcomes. "We are witnessing how the by-elections are being mishandled using financial and authoritative power," she stated during the interaction with journalists.

She added that despite these challenges, her confidence is rooted in the power of the people and their support for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which she believes will persist as a service-oriented and victorious coalition in the state. Pointing to the AIADMK's decision not to contest, she threw the onus on them to explain their reasons. With an eye on the 2026 elections, she expressed that it will be the voters’ opportunities to see which party best serves their expectations.

Addressing the Vikravandi by-election, Srinivasan emphasized the coalition’s readiness to robustly support their candidate, showcasing their determination to work strenuously. "Even though elections are a test of government and party performance, we are contesting with courage, and more importantly, with the people on our side," she asserted. This stance underlines their strategy to secure a substantial electoral faith amidst the perceived electoral manipulations.
