Public Grievance Meeting Resumes at Coimbatore District Collector Office

Following the announcement of Lok Sabha election dates, the public grievance meetings previously halted are resumed at Coimbatore District Collector's office, led by Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati.


Coimbatore: After a pause due to the enforcement of election conduct rules following the announcement of Lok Sabha election dates on March 16, the weekly public grievance redressal meetings have now resumed at the Coimbatore District Collector's office. The sessions, led by Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, took place yesterday, June 10, reinstating the open platform for public issues.

District Revenue Officer Mo. Sharmila and Assistant Collector (Training) Ankit Kumar Jain, alongside various department officials, attended the meeting. There, 353 petitions related to senior citizen assistance, title transfers, house site patta, and basic amenities were received.

Post the meeting, aid totalling Rs. 5.24 lakhs was distributed to 31 persons through the Disability Welfare Board. Additionally, the Collector honored students who succeeded in the TNPSC free coaching classes organized by the District Employment Office. Furthermore, college students volunteered at the Collector’s office, assisting the public in writing their petitions, thereby enhancing the service provided to visitors.
