Leopard Safely Rescued from a Well in Kerala by Forest Officials

In Kannankuzhi, Kerala, a leopard fell into a 50-foot deep well. Forest officials rescued it after a local, Shibu, reported the incident.


Coimbatore: A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Kannankuzhi, Athirappilly Taluk, Thrissur district of Kerala, where a leopard accidentally fell into a 50-foot deep well behind Shibu's residence last night. Shibu noticed the animal after hearing noises coming from the well and witnessed the stranded leopard. He promptly alerted the forest department. Responding swiftly, the forest officials arrived on the scene and after a prolonged effort, they lowered a large beam into the well to safely extract the leopard.

The successful rescue was attributed to the quick actions of Shibu and the expertise of the forest department team, ensuring the safety of the leopard and preventing potential injuries to both the animal and the local residents.
