Government Employee Assaulted by Five Individuals in Coimbatore's TVS Nagar Road

On May 30th in Coimbatore, five individuals attacked government employee Deepak Wilson on TVS Nagar Road while he was riding with his friend Ponnilavan.


Coimbatore: A disturbing incident occurred on TVS Nagar Road where Deepak Wilson, a 41-year-old traffic controller with the State Transport Corporation, was assaulted by a group of five individuals. Wilson, a resident of Vilankurichi, Cheran Maanagar in Coimbatore, was riding his motorcycle from Kanuvai towards the city with his friend Ponnilavan when the assault took place.

As they were travelling, a car attempting to overtake them aggressively led to a confrontation. The occupants of the car, after a brief exchange of heated words, descended from their vehicle and physically assaulted Wilson before fleeing the scene.

Following the attack, Wilson reported the incident at the Kavundampalayam police station. The police have registered a case and are currently conducting investigations. They are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the assailants.
