Tamil Nadu State Information Commissioner Dr. M. Selvaraj Conducts Hearings in Coimbatore

Dr. M. Selvaraj, Tamil Nadu State Information Commissioner, led hearings on various departmental petitions in Coimbatore under the Right to Information Act.


Coimbatore: In a significant event held at the Coimbatore District Collector's office, Tamil Nadu State Information Commissioner Dr. M. Selvaraj presided over hearings concerning petitions filed under the Right to Information Act.



Numerous departments, including the Revenue Department, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Coimbatore Limited, the Highway Department, and the Treasury Office, were scrutinized. A total of 60 cases across these departments were taken up for examination today, reflecting the state's commitment to transparency and accountability in governance.



The session marked a critical step in addressing the grievances and requests of citizens pertaining to various governmental functions. This procedure not only emphasizes the importance of the Right to Information Act but also ensures that the departments are held accountable for their actions and responsibilities. It paves the way for improved governance and facilitates a transparent communication path between the government and its citizens.
