Coimbatore Buses Troubled by Rainwater Leakage Amid Orange Alert

In Coimbatore, passengers face troubles in buses due to rainwater leaks amid an orange alert issued for heavy rainfall. The incident occurred in buses from Gandhipuram to Marichettipathi and Gobi.

Coimbatore: With Coimbatore under an orange weather alert due to heavy rainfall, passengers commuting on government buses from Gandhipuram to various locations faced severe inconvenience due to rainwater leaking inside the vehicles.

As heavy rains poured down, city and suburban regions witnessed flooded streets and disrupted transport services.

Specifically, in buses travelling from Gandhipuram to Marichettipathi and Gobi, passengers were unable to sit due to water dripping from above, causing seats to become wet.

Many had to stand and hold their positions awkwardly, while one commuter was notably seen sitting with an umbrella open inside the bus, much to the amazement of fellow travellers.

These bus roofs failing to prevent rain penetration aggravated the misery of the commuters, who criticized the lack of maintenance and preparedness for the rainy season. The puddles inside the buses reflect ongoing issues with infrastructure that need immediate attention to ensure passenger comfort and safety during adverse weather conditions.
