Coimbatore Corporation Achieves Record Property Tax Collection

As of 2023-24, the Coimbatore Corporation set a target to collect INR 528 crore in tax, successfully garnering INR 416.03 crore, surpassing previous years and marking a record.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation has set a new record in tax collection, having amassed a significant INR 416.03 crore in property taxes. This fiscal year, the target was ambitiously set at INR 528 crore, factoring in both the current and outstanding dues. To achieve this, the Corporation strategized by appointing dedicated tax collectors for each ward, intensifying the collection efforts. The successful strategy resulted in the collection of INR 370.32 crore in current dues and an additional INR 45.71 crore in arrears. This proactive approach in bolstering tax collection has distinguished the Coimbatore Corporation's fiscal management for the year 2023-24.
