Tribute Paid to Journalist Palanivel in Dharapuram

Palanivel, a journalist for Dinathanthi, passed away due to health issues in Dharapuram. A commemorative gathering was held near the old municipal office where many paid their respects.


Dharapuram: The journalistic community, along with local politicians and residents of Dharapuram, gathered to mourn and pay tribute to journalist Palanivel, who recently passed away due to health complications.

Working for Dinathanthi, Palanivel was well-respected for his contributions to the field of journalism.



The tribute event took place near Anna Statue by the old municipal office, where various personalities, including politicians from DMK, ADMK, VCK, Tamil Puligal Party, OPS team, and Hindu Makkal Katchi, along with other locals, attended.



Throughout his career, Palanivel was known for his innovative approaches in journalism and had built a strong rapport with the public, government officials, politicians, farmers, and business communities. Following his untimely death, attendees laid wreaths, adorned his portrait with garlands, pinned black badges, and held candlelight as a mark of respect and to remember his service in journalism.
