Drainage Blockage Cleared in Coimbatore's 27th Ward Following Rainfall

After heavy rainfalls, drainage blockage was cleared in Peelamedu Kamala Gin Street, 27th Ward of Coimbatore on May 18. City officials supervised the cleanup.


Coimbatore: The 27th ward in Coimbatore's Peelamedu area experienced a sewage overflow after a heavy downpour on May 18th. The water clogged at Kamala Gin Street leading to sanitation issues in the vicinity. Following the incident, sanitation workers promptly undertook the task of clearing the sewage blockage with the help of an air compressor truck. This rapid response helped in preventing the situation from worsening.

Selva Surabi, Assistant Commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation, Sridevi, Assistant Commissioner of the North Zone, along with ward inspector Vijayakumar and ward supervisor Maheswari, supervised the clearance operation to ensure that the area was restored to normalcy without any further inconveniences to the residents.
