Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Inspects Waterlogging Removal at Avinashi Road Flyover

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru prakasam IAS supervised the removal of waterlogged areas under Avinashi Road Flyover and Lanka Corner, instructing officials to ensure complete drainage.


Coimbatore: In a proactive move to address the city's monsoon woes, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguruprakasam IAS personally inspected the waterlogged areas under the Avinashi Road Flyover and nearby regions including Lanka Corner on May 18, 2024.



He assessed the ongoing efforts to drain the accumulated rainwater and issued directives to expedite the process.



During his visit, key municipal officials including the Chief Engineer Anbalagan and Assistant Commissioner Senthilkumaran were present. The operation to clear the waterlogged areas is reportedly progressing rapidly, aiming to prevent any inconvenience to the public and ensure smooth traffic flow.



The commissioner emphasized the importance of swiftly removing the rainwater and averting potential risks associated with prolonged water accumulation.
