Coimbatore: The onset of rainfall has somewhat increased the water flow in the Madukkarai Manju Pallam River, but it has brought with it a severe issue of water contamination due to sewage mixing with the river. This pollution has led to several fish deaths, as they were found floating dead in the water. Locals witnessed the distressing sight with great concern.



The residents are urging for immediate action against those responsible for the water contamination and have demanded a thorough investigation by the Department of Fisheries. They highlighted the urgency of the situation on May 16, requesting appropriate measures to prevent further environmental damage.
