TANGEDCO encourages setting AC between 24-26 degrees Celsius to save 36 percent on electricity bills, promoting a sustainable environment.

Coimbatore: In an effort to promote energy conservation and sustainability, The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has advised residents to maintain their air conditioning systems between 24-26 degrees Celsius. According to TANGEDCO, adhering to this temperature range can help reduce electrical consumption significantly, saving up to 36% on electricity bills.

This recommendation was shared through TANGEDCO's official X account, highlighting the dual benefits of cost savings and environmental protection. By optimizing the use of air conditioners, which are major contributors to electricity usage especially during the summer months, TANGEDCO aims to enhance energy efficiency across the region.
