Coimbatore: On Sunday morning, amid escalating temperatures and worsening drought conditions in Tamil Nadu, the Coimbatore City Jamathul Ulema Sabai and Sunnath Jamath Kolgai Koottamaippu conducted a special prayer session to seek divine intervention for rain.

This gathering took place in the Sarameadu area of Coimbatore around 9 AM.

The intense heat wave along with insufficient rainfall has dramatically reduced water levels in wells and reservoirs, causing great hardship to the local communities and farmers.

Agricultural activities are severely affected, and the livestock are also suffering due to the lack of adequate fodder.

Muhammad Ayyum Baqavi led the prayer which was attended by over 500 individuals from the Muslim community who gathered to pray for rain. The session included special prayers and supplications aimed at invoking rain to alleviate the harsh drought conditions.

In conclusion, Maulavi Muhammad Ali Imthadi delivered a special address, emphasizing the community's reliance on divine support during these trying times. The event saw the participation of notable community leaders like Haji Inayathullah, Maulavi Abdul Rahuman Ulumi, and Faisal, among the 500 attendees.
